Kilimanjaro Run

Transforming a Maasai Village One Run At A Time

We aid the Maasai community in Moshi, Tanzania, overseeing an organic farm. Past support has funded crucial projects like a water storage tank and translating a Bible Curriculum. This year, contributions will sustain the farm’s needs, covering equipment, labor, education, and more. Your support is appreciated for our ongoing Maasai Mission.

Kilimanjaro 5k & 10k Runs

Annual 5K and 10K runs draw hundreds of participants. Enjoy post-race snacks, drinks, and awards, including recognition for overall male and female winners and age group awards in 5-year increments for both races.

5k Run

The 5k and 10k runs start and finish at the Jersey Bridge Parking lot, both following loops. The 5k route includes the Oil Creek Bike Trail south for about 1.75 miles, then turns north onto a single track along Oil Creek for about 0.5 miles, crossing a suspension bridge. It continues north on a dirt maintenance road for about 1.0 mile, crossing the Jersey Bridge to finish. The entire run has minimal elevation change.

10k Run

The 10k run starts at Jersey Bridge parking lot, crosses the bridge, and ventures through a scenic 5-mile trail. After crossing Oil Creek on a suspension bridge, runners face a challenging 10% grade climb known as ‘The Hill of Truth,’ followed by a gradual 2.5-mile downhill stretch to the finish. The route features an elevation gain of around 850 feet, with clear markings and ample water stations along the way.
